Seven bids received for Puerto Salgar - Barrancabermeja corridor PPP project

The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) in Colombia has received seven bids for the Puerto Salgar to Barrancabermeja road project. Also known as Troncal Magdalena 1, the project includes intervention works for a 259.6 km long highway connecting Puerto Salgar to Barrancabermeja with the construction of 146.4 km of second road and variants, improvement works on 147.9 km of existing road and rehabilitation of 5.08 km of the existing road.

The seven bidder as follows :

  1. Estructura Plural Nuevo Magdalena 1 : Acciona Concesiones de Infraestructuras SL (50%) and Cintra Latam Highways BV (50%)
  2. Estructura Plural Valle del Río 1 : Infrastructura y Prosperidad SAS (25%), Strabag BRVZ AG (74%) and Strabag SAS (1%)
  3. Estructura Plural Ruta al Magdalena Puerto Salgar-Barrancabermeja :OHL Infraestructuras SAS (50%) and Termotécnica Coindustrial SAS (50%); 
  4. Estructura Plural  Autopista Magdalena Medio : KMA Construcciones SAS (50%) and Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos (50%)
  5. Estructura Plural del Rio Grande 1 : Interconexiones Viales SPA (75%) and Construcciones El Cóndor (25%)
  6. Estructura Plural Troncal Magdalena : Odinsa (40%), Pavimentos Colombia SAS (30%) and MHC Engineering SAS (30%)
  7. SACYR Concesiones Colombia SAS

The authority intents to award the concession contract for Troncal Magdalena 1 on May 25, 2022.
