Stantec has been appointed by the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) as lead consultant alongside Prior + Partners, Montagu Evans, Richard Wood Associates and Camargue to develop the Tees Valley Spatial Development Strategy across the Tees Valley region.

Stantec has been appointed as the lead consultant, working with a multidisciplinary team comprising Prior + Partners, Montagu Evans, Richard Wood Associates and Camargue. The team will draw on expertise in planning, economics, transport, utilities, climate change and environmental assessment to shape the strategy. Prior + Partners will support the digital plan-making approach, while other members will contribute expertise in stakeholder engagement, commercial property and strategic planning. The strategy will be developed through engagement with local communities and regional stakeholders, with the outputs intended to be made publicly accessible. The approach aims to make planning issues easier to understand and encourage wider participation in shaping the region’s future development. It will also seek to support Tees Valley’s economic transition by identifying opportunities in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, energy and emerging digital industries, while ensuring housing provision is aligned with economic growth and improved connectivity between communities.
