SWPC launched RFEOI for Independent Water Transmission Pipeline project

Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has launched the request for expressions of interest (EOI) seeking a developer or developer consortium to develop a Ras Mohaisen-Baha-Makkah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline project (IWTP) of the Western Supply Group. The project will be procured under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model.

The IWTP will include pipelines and terminal storage facilities to provide connections between the consumption centers and the upcoming desalination plants. It will consist of a group of water transmission line projects, Ras Mohaisen – Al Baha – Makkah IWPT, with a transmission capacity of up to 400,000 m3/day, and lengths of 300 km.

The project company developing the Project will provide the entire transmission capacity to SWPC under a Water Transmission Agreement (WTA). The term of the WTA is expected to be up to 35 years.
