Taboada Wastewater Treatment Plant Project in operation in Lima

The Agency for the Promotion of Private Investment (PROINVERSIÓN) has announced the operation capacity of the Taboada Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTAR Taboada) in Lima, Peru.

The PTAR Taboada project handles an average flow of 14 m3 per second and a maximum flow of 20.3 m3 per second. It is responsible for treating the wastewater produced by over 4 million individuals in Metropolitan Lima and Callao, which accounts for roughly 40% of the population and 53% of all wastewater. With the help of the Taboada WWTP, La Chira WWTP, and PROVISUR WWTP, over 90% of the wastewater produced by Lima and Callao is now treated.

The concession was awarded to the ACS Group of Spain, which created the company PTAR Taboada SA to manage it. The latter entrusted the company TEDAGUA SA of the Vinci group with the tasks of Operation and Maintenance.
