The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MCVS) and PROINVERSIÓN have presented to potential proponents and bidders the most relevant technical and legal aspects to consider for the preparation and presentation of proposals on four new PPP projects, which will benefit the departments of Piura, Lambayeque, Lima, Huancavelica and Apurímac. The required total investment for all 4 projects is approximately PEN1,141 million (US$ 313.29 million). 

These announced projects are:

• Desalination and Wastewater treatment PPP project in Talara
• Desalination PPP project in Lambayeque
• Wastewater treatment PPP project in Lima
• Wastewater treatment PPP project in Huancavelica and Apurímac

The projects are part of the Ministery's strategy to reduce the gap in infrastructure and sanitation services in 5 provinces, creating better living conditions for more than 622,000 residents. The tender is expected to attract investors and companies that operate or provide services in the sanitation sector.
