Tender launched for development of archive building in Regensburg

The city of Regensburg in Germany has issued notice inviting developers for the development of new central depot and archive for the Regensburg city's museums and archives. Regensburg is a  Bavarian city located in southeast Germany. The building will have approx. 50 000 m 3 enclosed space on a floor area of ​​approx. 4 000 m 2 and a height of approx. 12.5 m and will be used for different uses. In addition to central depot and archive, the building also contains a functional area for logistical and conservatory treatment as well as the administrations of the municipal museums and the city archives. This 2 partially 3 story building will also have a public area with a reading room and function room. In some areas of the depots, steel platforms are installed as an additional storage level.

The building is designed as a reinforced concrete building with a suspended metal facade and must fulfill high requirements for climatic stability and safety.

The deadline to submit the response to the notice is July 22, 2019.
