Tender launched for hospital concession PPPs in Piura and Nuevo Chimbote

The Agency for the Promotion of Private Investment (ProInversión) in Peru has launched a tender notice seeking a private partner for the development of hospital complexes in Piura and Nuevo Chimbote.

Both concessions are being procured under the design, financing, construction, equipment, operation, and maintenance (DBFOM) public-private partnership (PPP) model. The hospital complex will include 342 hospital beds and high-tech equipment. The selected private partner will be responsible for the management of infrastructure and equipment maintenance as well as the provision of miscellaneous services. Nuevo Chimbote hospital complex will have a modern infrastructure with approximately 161 hospital beds and high-tech equipment. Along with the infrastructure management and maintenance of equipment the private partner will also provide additional services such as laundry, food, cleaning, security, hospital waste management, sterilization, logistics services, Clinical Laboratory and others.
