The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Algeria has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) to hire a national or international specialized consultancy firm under the AIMWELL project (Gestion Intégrée de l’Energie des Déchets au Niveau Local en Algérie). The assignment focuses on developing business plans, structuring public-private partnerships (PPPs), and supporting the mobilization of financing for integrated biowaste management and valorization projects in Algeria. 

The selected consultant will provide expertise in converting biowaste into fertilizers and energy, to help develop commercially viable projects and investment structures. The work is expected to combine business planning with PPP structuring and financing support, indicating a focus on moving waste-to-resource initiatives toward implementation and investment. 

The assignment will be carried out in Algeria over a period of nine months from the date of contract signature, equivalent to 139 working days. The procurement process is managed by the UNDP Algeria Procurement Unit under reference UNDP-DZA-00300. 

The notice was published on August 3, 2026, with proposals due by September 6, 2026, at 11:59 PM New York time. Interested firms must submit their bids through the UNDP Quantum supplier portal and follow the registration and submission procedures specified by UNDP.
