The governments of Brazil and the state of Minas Gerais have awarded the Comporte Participações consortium a concession to operate and maintain the Belo Horizonte Metro in Brazil.

Line 1, which will have 19 upgraded stations and run for 28.1 km from Belo Horizonte to Contagem, will be operated by Comporte. At Novo Eldorado in Contagem, a new station will be constructed. The obligation of completing the construction of Line 2, spanning 10.5 km from Calafate to Barreiro, including 7 stations, will fall on the concessionaire. The 1st segment of Line 2 is anticipated to begin operations in 2026, which will be the 4th year of the concession, and the entire route is scheduled to be finished by 2028.
