The Brazilian State of Paraná has launched a tender process to hire consultants for the Londrina - Maringá rail PPP project.
The consultants will have to develop the project's feasibility studies. Specifically the selected consultants will have to finish and redefine the study developed by the University of Santa Catarina, develop topographic, geo-mechanical, hydrological and environmental studies and technical designs.
The maximum possible compensation to carry out the studies has been established at R$12 million (US$3.2 million).
The request for expression of interest (RFEOI) was launched last October, interested parties must submit the solicited documents on or before 19 November 2015.
Londrina is a city located in the north of the state of Paraná, South Region, Brazil, and is 369 km away from the capital, Curitiba. The city has approximately 550,000 inhabitants and 820.000 in its metropolitan area, being the second largest city in Paraná and the fourth largest city in the Southern Region of Brazil.
Maringá is the third largest city in the state of Paraná with approximatelly 400,000 inhabitants in the city, and 775,000 in its metropolitan area. Located in north west of Paraná and crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn it is a regional centre for commerce, services, agro-industries, and universities.
