Anthropic, the U.S. artificial intelligence company behind the Claude family of models, announced that it has successfully raised a massive US$30 billion in a Series G funding round at a post-money valuation of approximately US$380 billion. This financing was led by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and tech investor Coatue Management, with participation from many prominent global investors, including Accel, BlackRock, General Catalyst, Sequoia Capital, and others, along with portions of previously committed capital from Microsoft and NVIDIA. The sheer scale of this funding — one of the largest private financing rounds ever recorded in the tech sector — signals strong investor confidence in Anthropic’s technology and market direction.

The company reported that its business has grown rapidly in recent years, with its annualized revenue run rate now at around US$14 billion and continuing strong enterprise adoption. A significant driver of this growth has been Anthropic’s Claude Code, a coding-focused AI tool that has quickly gained traction among developers and enterprises, contributing billions in revenue. The funding will be used to support frontier AI research, product development, and expansion of global infrastructure, enabling Anthropic to scale its offerings across industries and bring its AI models to more customers worldwide.

This raises also positions Anthropic as a major competitor in the artificial intelligence landscape, particularly against other AI leaders like OpenAI and Google. With this valuation — more than double its previous funding round valuation — Anthropic is among the most highly valued private AI companies globally and is seen as a key player in enterprise AI, multi-cloud deployments, and safety-oriented AI innovation. The company’s growth and strategic investments reflect both the immense capital flowing into AI development and the intense competitive dynamics of the rapidly evolving AI market.
