BlackRock Completes Acquisition of ElmTree Funds
BlackRock, Inc. has completed its acquisition of ElmTree Funds.
The integration of ElmTree strengthens BlackRock’s Private Financing Solutions (PFS) platform, positioning it as a top provider of holistic solutions for both companies and investors. Leveraging ElmTree’s expertise in the commercial net-lease market, PFS will be able to expand its investment offerings for clients seeking stable, long-term income, while also helping businesses across the U.S. fund essential infrastructure and growth initiatives.
James Koman continues to lead the ElmTree investment strategies as part of PFS. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, and Sidley Austin LLP acted as legal counsel to BlackRock and HPS. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC served as financial advisor to HPS. Berkshire Global Advisors served as financial advisor and Kirkland & Ellis LLP acted as legal counsel to ElmTree Funds.
