The Government of Brazil has included the new hospital project in the Sao Paolo state to the Investment Partnership Program (PPI), which allows forming alternative partnerships with the private sector.

The new Children's Hospital (Hospital da Criança) will be located close to CPTM airport station and EMTU Taboão Terminal in the Guarulhos municipality. The current hospital has a capacity of 88 beds, while the new one will increase it up to 70% by providing 150 beds. The hospital will treat children and adolescents.

BNDES is providing technical support for the partnership. The tender process is expected to begin in 2022. The selected private partner will be responsible for the construction, equipping, operation and maintenance of the new hospital.
