CapMan Infra has agreed to sell its 60% stake in Valokuitunen Oy, Finland’s independent fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network company, to Brookfield Infrastructure Structured Solutions and Telia.

CapMan’s CapMan Nordic Infrastructure I (CMNI I) partnered with Telia Company in April 2020 to create Valokuitunen to accelerate the deployment of high-quality FTTH connectivity across Finland. Since its establishment, the company has grown quickly to become the country’s leading developer and owner of passive FTTH infrastructure, providing dependable high-speed fiber connectivity to households nationwide. Valokuitunen operates an open-access network model that allows multiple service providers to deliver services on its infrastructure and has continued expanding its network, which now reaches more than 400,000 households across Finland.

During the ownership of CapMan Infra, Valokuitunen significantly enhanced its operational capabilities by securing industry-leading construction and sales agreements. The company also improved the customer experience by developing a high-quality open-access platform and establishing a nationwide FTTH network supported by a strong market presence. These initiatives contributed to solid financial performance and positioned Valokuitunen as an important driver of long-term digital infrastructure development in Finland.

The transaction is expected to close during Q2 of 2026.
