The Gujarat state government has approved the Full Dealer-Owned Dealer-Operated (FDODO) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) scheme through the public-private partnership (PPP) model in Gujarat, India.

This comprehensive initiative will be executed by Gujarat Gas (GGL) and Sabarmati Gas (SGL). This program aims to expand the coverage of CNG stations, enhancing accessibility for CNG vehicle owners. According to the specifications outlined by GGL and SGL, the dealer assumes full responsibility for obtaining the necessary permissions for land use and documentation to establish the CNG station. The dealer is also tasked with managing station setup, including mechanical and electrical construction work. Additionally, the dealer is obligated to procure and install essential equipment such as compressors, cascades, CNG dispensers, tubings, etc., and commission the CNG equipment. GGL and SGL will supply gas to the dealer's online stations through a steel network spanning approximately 3,050 km. In areas where gas extension is not feasible, CNG stations will provide CNG to the dealer's light, medium, and heavy commercial vehicles without an underground pipeline or booster compressor.
