Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Oak Valley Health have prequalified five companies to deliver the Oak Valley Health – Uxbridge Redevelopment Project.
The project is underway to transform, modernize, and expand Oak Valley Health – Uxbridge. At approximately 140,000 square-feet, the new Uxbridge Hospital site will add more patient beds and expand key services such as ambulatory care and diagnostic imaging.
Companies were prequalified based on criteria identified in a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process that began in December 2025. Selection criteria included the required construction experience applicable to this project, as well as the financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity. The prequalified companies are EBC Inc, EllisDon Corporation, Maystar General Contractors Inc, Multiplex Construction Canada Limited, and Pomerleau Inc.
A Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected to be issued to these prequalified companies in the summer of 2026. Once submissions are received, IO and Oak Valley Health will evaluate the proposals, select a preferred company and negotiate a final contract. The successful company is expected to be announced in spring 2027. A fairness monitor will oversee the entire procurement process.
