The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) and the Autopistas del Café concession signed Addendum No. 30 to carry out construction work on the Guayabal return route in the municipality of Chinchiná, Colombia.

With an investment of COP 408 million (approximately US$ 0.9 million), derived from surplus toll collections from the Armenia-Pereira-Manizales project, construction is set to begin, with an estimated completion time of three months. These works will significantly improve mobility and road safety for both residents of the Guayabal and Campoalegre neighborhoods, as well as for users who travel daily along this important national corridor, primarily the community surrounding the Eduardo Gómez Arrubla Educational Institution in Chinchiná.

Following various community requests and social dialogue, it was agreed to build this intersection as a solution while progress is made on the Pereira–Manizales dual carriageway project, which provides a definitive solution to the area's mobility problems. In addition to the return, the new addition includes periodic maintenance work on several sections of the Western Trunk Road (VTO), in line with the commitment to modernize infrastructure and improve service quality in the Coffee Region.

The Armenia Pereira Manizales project is part of the first generation of concessions managed by the National Infrastructure Agency. This road corridor connects the departments of Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío, and Valle del Cauca over 188.5 km of roads with excellent infrastructure quality.
