InfraRed Capital Partners, a leading international infrastructure asset manager, announced the acquisition of a portfolio of nine UK school public-private partnership (PPP) projects from INPP. The transaction was undertaken for a separately managed account (SMA) with pension services provider APG, on behalf of pension fund ABP, as sole limited partner.
The portfolio consists of operational education facilities across London, catering to thousands of students through modern secondary schools, special educational needs centres and further education facilities developed under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. The assets form part of essential social infrastructure and are supported by long-term, availability-based concession agreements. InfraRed will apply its specialist asset management expertise to improve operational performance and maintain the quality of the facilities throughout the concession periods until handback.
The acquisition strengthens the SMA exposure to high-quality, mid-market social infrastructure assets in the UK, complementing its existing portfolio.
