InfraRed Capital Partners has completed the sale of a 40% interest in the Transmission Gully Motorway project in New Zealand.
The Transmission Gully motorway is a 17-mile state highway located in New Zealand’s Wellington region, developed to offer a safer and more dependable inland route. InfraRed was one of four equity partners in the Wellington Gateway Partnership (WGP), the consortium responsible for delivering the project through an availability-based public-private partnership (PPP) with the New Zealand Transport Agency. InfraRed invested around NZ$55 million (US$33 million), representing about 40% of the project’s equity, and was actively involved in key stages of the project, including its financing, design, construction, operation, and maintenance. The motorway officially opened to the public in March 2022.
