The GelreGroen consortium has reached financial close on the ViA15 highway PPP project in the Netherlands. A&O Shearman advised the GelreGroen consortium on achieving financial close for the A12/A15 Ressen–Oudbroeken (ViA15) PPP project. The project will substantially enhance transport links in the Arnhem–Nijmegen area and finalize a continuous freight and traffic corridor connecting the Port of Rotterdam with Germany. The GelreGroen consortium consists of John Laing, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH, Dura Vermeer Groep N.V., and BESIX Group NV/SA. A&O Shearman acted as legal adviser to the consortium on the project financing, providing fully integrated, cross-practice support across four jurisdictions. The team advised on all key legal aspects required to bring the project to financial close, reflecting the firm’s depth in large-scale infrastructure and PPP transactions.
