Jordan’s Investment Ministry has briefed potential investors on details of its first elevated speedway overpassing its capital, Amman. Jordan is inviting investors to participate in the development of the country’s first elevated motorway.
The proposed 16-km Amman Toll Bridge will be constructed along King Abdullah II Road, linking the northern and southern parts of the capital. The project will feature four lanes—two dedicated to cars and two for buses—and will operate as a toll road. The PPP agreement is expected to encompass the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of the motorway.
The toll bridge is among the latest major infrastructure initiatives unveiled by Jordan under its long-term development strategy extending to 2035. In December 2025, the government also revealed a 25-year plan to develop a sustainable green city. Named Amra City, the project will be located in central Jordan, approximately 40 km from Amman and 35 km from Queen Alia Airport.
