The Jordanian government reviewed a comprehensive development plan for the King Hussein Bridge (border crossing) with the occupied Palestinian territories.

The objective is to upgrade the infrastructure and services at the crossing — including the construction of new cargo and passenger buildings and yards — to alleviate congestion, enhance the traveler and merchant experience, support the national economy, and strengthen Jordan’s role as a regional transport and logistics hub. The meeting also examined the allocation of land for the project to expedite its implementation and discussed possible public-private partnerships to alleviate the burden on government finances.

Further development plans for other crossings (Jaber Border Crossing and Karama Border Crossing) were reviewed in the same context, highlighting the broader drive to modernise border infrastructure under the country’s Economic Modernisation Vision.
