Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) has invited bids from international engineering and construction companies for the development of a US$3.3 billion onshore gas processing facility in the Al-Zour area of Kuwait.
The planned facility will have the capacity to process up to 632 million cubic feet of gas per day, together with 60,000 barrels per day of condensates sourced from the offshore Dorra field in the Saudi-Kuwaiti Neutral Zone.
The project has attracted interest from at least seven international engineering firms, including South Korea’s Samsung E&A, India’s Larsen & Toubro, Spain’s Técnicas Reunidas, Italy’s Saipem, South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Hyundai Engineering, and Japan’s JGC.
The tender was issued last month, with December 29, 2026 established as the deadline for bid submissions.
The meeting for prospective contractors, originally planned for September 14, has been rescheduled to October 14. According to industry sources cited by MEED, the revised meeting date has not altered the bidding schedule, and the December 29 deadline remains unchanged.
