Larsen & Toubro bagged multimillion Contracts for hospital and solar project in India

Indian contractor Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won significant contract orders worth between US$200 million and US$500 million for its various businesses in Mumbai and West Bengal, India.

The Buildings & Factories Business arm of L&T has secured an order from Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital to construct a 600-bed super specialty hospital at Vile Parle, Mumbai. The scope of work includes turnkey construction of a total of 7.3 lakhs (0.73 million) Sq ft of development work with building configuration 3B+G+11 floors in 2 Phases. Phase 1 is to be completed in 23 months and Phase 2 in 17 months with a 3-month gap between both phases for shifting and demolishing existing buildings.

The Renewables arm of the Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of L&T) has received a turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order to establish a 112.5 MW Solar Power Plant in West Bengal. This project gets its financing from a foreign development bank.

The Business has also received an order to undertake works for the development of power distribution infrastructure in central-western part of Uttar Pradesh under the Revamped Reforms-linked Distribution Scheme. The scope includes loss reduction works including GIS asset mapping.
