Market sounding completed for Missouri River Terminal PPP

The Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri is concluding the market-sounding procedure as well as development studies for the Missouri River Terminal project in Kansas City, USA. The development involves the finance, construction, management, and maintenance of a large-scale intermodal facility located on a 415-acre site. Once completed the project will offer new access points and significant market reach. 

The scope of works for the project involves the construction of :

  • New river terminals for receiving  container vessels, container on barge, and storage services;
  • Creation of new short railroad line with over five miles of new track to serve containerized cargo;  
  • Direct access to Interstate 435 and the Kansas City interstate highway system;
  • Warehouse and office buildings; 
  • Industrial activities and production zoning.
