Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming (MTCG) have awarded a fixed price contract of CA$1.04 billion (US$761 million) to Ontario Science Partners to design, build, finance and maintain a new Ontario Science Centre facility. The new Ontario Science Centre will be located on the mainland at Ontario Place and will include the preservation of the historic Cinesphere and Pod complex.
The Ontario Science Partners team includes:
IO and MTCG selected Ontario Science Partners following extensive evaluations through an open, fair and competitive procurement process that began in May 2024. Selection criteria included evaluation of the proposed design, technical submission and price to deliver the project. The entire procurement process was overseen by a third-party fairness advisor. Ontario Science Partners will begin mobilizing on-site and construction is expected to start in the coming weeks (Spring 2026).
