The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced the progress work on the Ñumí - San Juan Nepomuceno section is nearing completion in Caazapá, Paraguay.

The building of alternative routes in Gral. Eugenio A. Garay and Gral. Higinio Morínigo cities have finished, thus completing the total distance of 11.7 km. The project has an accumulated progress rate of 114.26%, and only 4% of the work remains to be done. The program includes the rehabilitation, enhancement, and maintenance of road segments within the Eastern Region's Program for the Improvement and Conservation of Road Corridors.

All these works are executed through the Project Execution Unit (UEP-DV-BID) under financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). TOCSA SA has been given a contract to fix and maintain a road under the CREMA scheme. They have to fix the road within two years, and then keep maintaining it for the next four years after the work is done.
