The City of Toronto, in consultation with Infrastructure Ontario (IO), have invited two teams to respond to a request for proposals (RFP) to design, build and finance the George Street Revitalization project in Toronto, Canada.

The two teams were prequalified following a request for qualifications (RFQ) process that began in November 2020. The selection criteria included design and construction capability, experience, qualified personnel and financial capacity to undertake a project of this size and scope. The prequalified teams are:

  1. Ellisdon Infrastructure Healthcare - Ellisdon Corporation with design team comprising Adamson Associates Architects, G Architects, Parkin Architects Ltd;
  2. Bird Design-Build Construction Inc. - Bird Design-Build Construction Inc. with design team comprising Diamond Schmitt Architects and IBI Group Architects.

The following steps are for the teams to prepare proposals detailing project delivery, followed by the evaluation of the proposals by IO and the City of Toronto. The successful bidder is planned to be announced in Summer 2023.
