RFQ launched for Grandview Children's Treatment Centre redevelopment project

Infrastructure Ontario and Grandview Children's Centre in Canada have issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for teams to design, build and finance the Grandview Children's Treatment Centre Redevelopment Project in Oshawa.

The scope of works involves the development of the following facilities :

  • Centre-Wide Therapy Services: occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology, recreation therapy, audiology, infant hearing, blind low vision, social work;
  • The Ontario Autism Program and services;
  • Developmental Paediatric Medical Services including  specialist medical clinics;
  • Campbell Children's School;
  • Family resources services;
  • School-based rehabilitation services, and;
  • Preschool outreach program.

The request for qualifications is the first step in the process to select a team to help deliver the project. Submissions will be reviewed to shortlist teams with the design and construction experience, as well as the financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity. Shortlisted teams will then be invited to respond to a request for proposals, which is expected to be released in early 2021.
