Miahona Company has signed a Public-Private Partnership Agreement (PPPA) with Uzsuvtaminot, the national water utility of Uzbekistan, to enhance, operate, and maintain the Zomin Water Treatment Plant in the Jizzakh Region.
Under the agreement, Miahona will undertake enhancement works and provide 25 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the existing Zomin Water Treatment Plant. The facility has a design treatment capacity of 50,000 cubic meters per day, meeting the region's growing water infrastructure needs. The total contract value is estimated at approximately SAR 395 million (USD 105 million), subject to the issuance of the project-related governmental decree in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The agreement will become effective upon the issuance of the required governmental approvals.
The project is designed to enhance the performance, dependability, and long-term sustainability of water treatment services in Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh Region, while contributing to the country’s broader initiative to upgrade its water infrastructure through public-private partnerships. For Miahona, the Zomin Water Treatment Plant project marks an important step in its regional expansion plans and reinforces its role as a prominent developer and operator of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in international markets.
