Invesis, together with its project partner Alheembouw, achieved the second financial close for the Evara Schools Cluster Project, securing financing to develop a new educational campus for Sint Laurens College and KISP in Zelzate, Belgium.

As part of the broader Evara schools programme, the project will develop a modern educational campus that accommodates both secondary and adult education. The facility will offer modern, adaptable learning environments aimed at enhancing educational outcomes while serving the needs of students, teachers, and the surrounding community. With an estimated investment of €25 million (US$29 million), construction is set to begin in June 2026, and the campus is anticipated to become fully operational within 27 months of the start of works.

The financial close was celebrated with key project participants, including Alheembouw, Invesis’ partner in the project company, financing institution KBC Bank, and representatives from Sint Laurens College and KISP.

The milestone builds on the contract close achieved in December 2025, when Invesis and Alheembouw entered into agreements with Evara and KISP to develop three new educational campuses through a Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM) framework. The projects include Sint-Victor in Turnhout, BuSO Styrka in Ghent, and Sint Laurens College/KISP in Zelzate. Collectively, the three developments will provide around 17,500 square metres of contemporary educational facilities, backed by a total investment of approximately €73 million.

The Evara schools cluster highlights the effectiveness of long-term collaboration and the Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM) approach in delivering sustainable, high-quality learning environments. The programme is designed to create enduring benefits for students, teaching staff, and communities throughout Flanders while ensuring educational infrastructure remains fit for future needs.
