The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) reports that 12 national and foreign companies have expressed interest in the project “Operation and Maintenance of the National Institute of Child Health - San Borja (INSN-SB)”.

The objective of the process is to select a Service Operator with extensive experience in hospital service management to be responsible for the financing and development of infrastructure and equipment, as well as the operation and maintenance of "gray coat" and "green coat" services, which cover a range of services in both the clinical field and infrastructure maintenance. Under the "gray coat" category, the private operator will assume maintenance of the infrastructure and electromechanical equipment, as well as laundry, cleaning, catering, and security services, ensuring an optimal environment for patients and staff. Under the "green coat" category, it will provide sterilization and clinical pathology services, keeping specialized medical equipment operational and guaranteeing modern technology throughout the contract period. A key aspect of the new contract will be the replacement of hospital equipment throughout the term of the contract, ensuring continuous technological updates and greater efficiency.

The project will deliver key advantages such as enhanced healthcare quality through the use of up-to-date, fully functional equipment, greater service continuity over the long term, lower costs driven by new technologies and automation, and stronger quality assurance supported by performance indicators and continuous monitoring.

The deadline for submitting prequalification envelopes (Envelope No. 1) is September 2025. The results of the prequalification of bidders will be announced in November, and the award of the contract is scheduled for Q1 of 2026.
