Abertis has acquired the remaining stake in the A63 motorway in southwest France from HICL Infrastructure, CVC DIF, and NGE Autoroutes, thereby reaching 100% ownership of the concession.

After acquiring a 51.2% stake in 2025, the Group—owned by ACS and Mundys—has now achieved full (100%) ownership by reaching an agreement with minority shareholders in this key corridor in southwest France. Specifically, Abertis has agreed with HICL Infrastructure, CVC DIF, and NGE Autoroutes to purchase the remaining 48.8% stake in the A63 motorway, a vital transport link between Spain and northern Europe, which has approximately 25 years of concession remaining until 2051.

The A63 is a 104-km toll motorway, operational since 2013, featuring dual three-lane carriageways that connect Salles and Saint-Geours-de-Maremne in southwest France. It serves as a crucial transport corridor linking Europe with the Iberian Peninsula, facilitating freight movement between Spain and northern Europe, while also connecting Bordeaux—home to over one million people and a hub for scientific and engineering activity—with nearby cities such as Bayonne, Biarritz, Anglet, and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

In 2025, the motorway generated revenues of €179 million (US$206 million) and EBITDA of €138 million (US$159 million), supported by steady traffic levels and a positive growth trend. Abertis France, fully owned by Abertis, is a major operator in the French motorway sector, managing nearly 2,000 km of toll roads through the Sanef Group, with the A63 now fully integrated into its portfolio.
