AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. has agreed to acquire Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec in Australia and New Zealand. The proposed acquisition marks an important step in AtkinsRéalis Group Inc.’s strategy to establish a strong nationwide platform with a solid local presence across key Australian states and markets, while positioning itself to benefit from the country’s substantial infrastructure investments and high-growth sectors such as defence and power & renewables. Bringing in the 800 professionals from Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec will enhance AtkinsRéalis’ project delivery capabilities and deepen its expertise across priority infrastructure areas, including transportation, water, energy, ports and marine, defence infrastructure, and industrial sectors. Established in 1976, WGA is known for delivering long-term infrastructure programmes, backed by strong regional expertise and well-established client relationships across Australia and New Zealand.
The acquisition would reinforce AtkinsRéalis’ strategy of combining global capability with local proximity. WGA would gain access to AtkinsRéalis’ global systems, digital capabilities and technical excellence. This approach would support continuity for clients and employees, while creating expanded opportunities for collaboration, career development and technical growth.
