The Roads and Highways Department (RHD), Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Government of Bangladesh, has issued a General Procurement Notice (GPN) for the Construction of five climate-resilient bridges in Mymensingh Division, Bangladesh. The notice was published on September 3, 2026. The Government of Bangladesh and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) are jointly financing the project, with IsDB providing US$323.42 million in financing.

The project comprises the design and construction of five climate-resilient bridges in Mymensingh and Netrokona districts. The works have been divided into three major construction packages:

The construction contracts will be procured through Open International Competitive Bidding (ICB-Open), with contractor prequalification required for all three packages. The project will also include consultancy services for proof checking and civil-works supervision, preparation of climate-change-adaptive bridge design guidelines, project financial auditing, and procurement and financial-management support.

The IsDB financing is being provided under its Forward Lease and Loan Shariah-compliant financing modality. Procurement will follow the IsDB's April 2019 procurement guidelines, while specific procurement notices and requests for expressions of interest will be published as the contracts become ready for bidding.
