Birmingham City Council has selected Lovell as the preferred developer for the Druids Heath regeneration scheme.
The scheme will deliver a sustainable community of around 3,500 new homes, alongside outstanding green spaces, new infrastructure and transport links, as well as a revitalised commercial and community spaces. The council is committed to building around 1,800 affordable homes as part of the scheme, representing 51% of homes on the development. The outline planning application also puts forward plans for homes for sale, along with housing specifically designed for older residents. It further outlines proposals for new community and sports amenities, as well as a lively high street intended to become the area’s central meeting point. The council and Lovell have started drafting a partnership agreement, which is anticipated to be finalized and signed in spring 2026.
