The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced the advancement of works for the installation of fixed weighing posts in lots 6 and 7 of the Presidente Hayes - Boquerón PY09-Transchaco route in Paraguay.

Within the Teniente Irala Fernández district, the Boquerón Consortium, responsible for Lot 6, is currently engaged in cleaning and embankment activities, utilizing improved soil. As of now, they have made progress of 5%. For this specific project, the weighing post will be situated at km 392 on both sides of Transchaco Road. Additionally, in Lot 7 (located at km 478) on the left side of the road when traveling from Asunción to Mariscal Estigarribia, EDB Construcciones is overseeing the work, with completion reaching 82%. These checkpoints are necessary to ensure road safety and preserve the longevity of the route.

The rehabilitation and maintenance works on the PY09 route and its accesses aim to enhance internal transportation conditions within the country. As the primary communication route connecting the Chaco region with the administrative and economic center of Paraguay, the project will lower transportation expenses and bolster the country's internal communication and territorial integration. Moreover, it will facilitate the movement of goods and people between production and consumption areas, strengthening overall connectivity.
