PROINVERSIÓN has awarded GL Events Venues a 15-year PPP contract to operate and maintain the Lima Convention Centre in San Borja, Lima, Peru.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN), under Peru’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, has awarded GL Events Venues the contract to operate and maintain the Lima Convention Centre (LCC) for 15 years. With an estimated investment of US$104.73 million, the project aims to strengthen the venue’s operation and maintenance while expanding its commercial development, event programming and promotional activities.

The LCC features 18 multifunctional halls across eight levels and has the capacity to accommodate around 10,000 people simultaneously. Under the new management, the project seeks to improve the centre’s utilization and enhance its ability to host major congresses, conventions and national and international events, supporting Lima’s development as a competitive destination for business and meetings tourism.

The competitive process convened by PROINVERSIÓN had three bidders who reached the final stage: GL Events Venues, Consorcio Centro de Convenciones – Exposistemas and Grupo Heroica SAS. Finally, GL Events Venues obtained the award to assume the operation and maintenance of the venue.
