The Karnataka Cabinet has granted in-principle approval to conduct a technical and financial feasibility study for the proposed Mangaluru Water Metro project, which is planned along the Gurupura and Nethravati rivers in Mangaluru, Karnataka. The project is proposed to be implemented under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The Karnataka Water Transport Board has been authorised to undertake the necessary steps to advance the project, including examining its technical and financial viability. The feasibility assessment is expected to establish the project's potential scope and the framework for its implementation before further development decisions are taken.
