Pakistan's Minister for Railways has held a meeting regarding the Lahore-Islamabad High-Speed Train and the upgradation of six key railway routes in Punjab.

Travel Time Reduction: The project aims to decrease the Lahore–Islamabad train journey from the current 4 hours to approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Route Enhancements: Plans include the restructuring and double-tracking of the Kalowal–Pandora section, with the train route passing through Lalamusa, Dina, and Gujar Khan before reaching Rawalpindi.
Infrastructure Upgrades: The initiative encompasses the reconstruction of all bridges, remodeling of station yards, and other necessary measures to improve service quality.
