PROINVERSION and the consulting firm CEMOSA Ingeniería y Control presented the final results of the technical studies for the modernization of Teniente FAP Jaime Montreuil Morales Airport (Nuevo Chimbote) and Moisés Benzaquen Rengifo Airport (Yurimaguas).

Both terminals are part of the Third Airport Group, which is promoted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) and sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, through PROINVERSIÓN, under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The scope of the interventions at both airports includes the remodeling of the passenger terminal and the Rescue and Firefighting (SEI) area, improvements to the technical buildings, rehabilitation of the runway and road access, as well as the selected alternative for air operations at the airports above, ensuring safety, flight continuity, and improved air connectivity in these regions.
