Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and North York General (NYG) have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the New Patient Care Tower redevelopment project, being delivered through IO’s Alliance delivery model.
The new tower will include patient care spaces and underground parking connecting to NYG’s existing building to enable the flow of patients, staff, and materials, ensuring a high level of integration between new and existing spaces. The new tower will include up to 317 private patient rooms, expanding NYG’s acute care capacity by up to approximately 100 net-new beds, in addition to expanded spaces for NYG’s most critical programs and services. Teams were prequalified through a Request for Qualification (RFQ) process that began in January 2025. The prequalified teams are now invited to respond to the RFP.
