RFQ Issued for the Construction and Management of the "Yangi Bukhara" International Airport

The Government of Uzbekistan, through Uzbekistan Airports in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has launched an international tender to select a private partner for the construction and management of the “Yangi Bukhara” International Airport located in the Bukhara district of the Bukhara region. 

This initiative represents the first step toward transforming the "Yangi Bukhara" International Airport into a modern transport hub that meets international standards for the region. The project is designed to handle both domestic and international flights, serving not only as a connector for passengers traveling to destinations within Uzbekistan and abroad, but also as a vital link for enhancing the region's investment attractiveness and developing tourism and trade. The project will include the following construction works:

  • A new modern passenger terminal covering an area of 48,500 m², designed to handle 1,200 passengers per hour for international flights (both departures and arrivals) and 400 passengers per hour for domestic flights;
  • Construction of a catering building, parking facilities, cargo handling areas, as well as landscaping of the airport precincts; and
  • Development of infrastructure facilities, including a refueling complex with an 8,000 cubic meter storage capacity, located on a 4-hectare site.
