Shortlists announced for Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCEC) PPP Project

Three bidders have been shortlisted to deliver the AUD294 million (US$198.94 million) Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCEC) PPP Project in Geelong city, Victoria, Australia.

The three shortlisted bidders are as follows:

  • Kinetik – comprising Tetris Capital, Amber Australia, Kane Constructions, ISS Facility Services, CostaFox Developments, Warren & Mahoney and Six Degrees;
  • Geelong Live – comprising Capella Capital, Aware Super, Lendlease Building, Honeywell, MAB Corporation, Populous, Hassell, Freadman White and Oculus;
  • Plenary Conventions – comprising Plenary Group, Built, BGIS, Woods Bagot, WSP and 4D Workshop.

The selected bidder will be responsible for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the Convention center that will feature a 200-room upscale hotel and commercial spaces, with a 1,000-seat plenary venue and 3,700 sq m of multi-purpose space which will allow small and large events to run concurrently.
