The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has invited NGOs and civil society organisations (CSOs) to submit proposals to implement a waste management plan for Balangoda Urban Council in Balangoda, Sri Lanka.
The project involves implementing a waste management plan for Balangoda Urban Council in Sri Lanka under the “Scale-up and Sustain the Low Carbon Municipal Solid Waste Management and Resource Recovery in Sri Lanka” project. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sri Lanka has issued a Call for Proposals (CFP) inviting eligible national and international NGOs and civil society organisations (CSOs) to submit proposals for carrying out the project activities.
The initiative is intended to support low-carbon municipal solid waste management and resource recovery in Balangoda, with the selected organisation expected to implement activities outlined in the negotiation documents. Proposals must be submitted through the UNDP Quantum Supplier Portal. The procurement notice was published on 21 September 2026, with submissions due by 6 October 2026.
