The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center of the Philippines has joined the inauguration of the Pampanga Provincial Dialysis Center II in Barangay Sampaloc, Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines.
The medical facility is part of the PHP 730 million (US$12.4 million) Operations and Maintenance of Pampanga Dialysis Centers Project, which involves the operations and maintenance of two dialysis centers in the Municipality of Apalit and in the town of Guagua, the latter of which opened to the public on April 04, 2025, and currently caters to 120 patients daily. Under the joint venture agreement, the Provincial Government provides the facilities, 43 dialysis machines across the centers, utilities, deployment of administrative personnel and support services. Meanwhile, the private partner, B. Braun Avitum Philippines, Inc., oversees general management and daily operations, including the deployment of clinical and technical personnel, machine maintenance, and the provision of medical supplies.
The facility was constructed using a PHP 30-million (US$0.5 million) allocation from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and is equipped with 40 dialysis machines and a water reverse osmosis system financed by the Department of Health (DOH). The provincial health office stated that the center has the capacity to serve up to 200 patients per day. Patients may also benefit from the PhilHealth Dialysis Package, which covers dialysis treatments at no cost for amounts of up to PHP 1,000,000 (US$16,945.4).
