The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) is making progress in structuring the railway projects prioritized by the National Government, following the publication of the final specifications for the technical feasibility study of the Bogotá Region Connection with the Central Railway Corridor and the Pacific Corridor in the Buenaventura-Palmira section, in Valle del Cauca.
The connection between the Bogotá-Cundinamarca metropolitan region and the Central Railway Corridor encompasses 393 km of track, and the technical feasibility study for the railway infrastructure has a budget of US$91.164 billion. According to the schedule published in Secop II, the feasibility study is scheduled to be awarded by December 2025.
The Pacific Corridor project, in the Buenaventura-Palmira section, includes a 120-km stretch of railway, and the technical feasibility consultancy has a budget of US$53.266 billion. According to the schedule published in Secop II, the feasibility study will be awarded in December 2025.
With the publication of the bidding documents, all investors, consulting firms, and other interested parties are expected to submit their comments to advance the award process before the end of 2025.
