Infrastructure company Arteris emerged as the sole bidder in a new tender for the concession contract for a stretch of the BR-101 highway in Brazil, which requires investments of BRL 6.2 billion (US$1.1 billion).
The company was the only one to submit an initial bid. The project involves a 322.1km stretch connecting the border of Rio de Janeiro with Espírito Santo, crossing 13 municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The concession, with a term of 22 years, includes widening works, construction of additional lanes, and service roads.
