Muse Places Ltd has been selected by the Bristol Temple Quarter Limited Liability Partnership (BTQ LLP) — a public-sector partnership between Bristol City Council, Homes England and the West of England Combined Authority — as the preferred development partner to lead the transformation of the Temple Meads West and St Philip’s Marsh areas in Bristol’s Temple Quarter, where it will help deliver coordinated regeneration including up to 10,000 new homes, commercial space and improved public realm and connectivity.

Temple Meads West comprises a number of publicly owned development plots, including land adjoining the station at the Friary, the City Point building and multi-storey car park at Temple Gate, as well as vacant sites at Lower Station Approach and the Portwall Lane car park. Alongside this work, Muse will also work with the Bristol Temple Quarter LLP to help shape detailed long-term plans for delivering new homes and employment opportunities at St Philip’s Marsh. Muse will prepare an outline planning application for the area, which is expected to be submitted in early 2027.

Substantial investment is already progressing at Bristol Temple Quarter, including a new £23 million (US$31 million) eastern station entrance funded by a £95 million (US$128 million) government grant, due to open in September 2026 alongside the University of Bristol’s £500 million (US$ 672 million) Enterprise Campus, as well as Network Rail’s £130 million (US$175 million) programme to transform Bristol Temple Meads station.
