Plenary Group has launched an Expression of Interest (EOI) process to identify a university partner to establish and operate a new campus in Bradfield City’s City Precinct, Western Sydney, Australia, as part of the NSW Government-backed development of Australia’s newest city.
Plenary is inviting proposals from universities with strong global expertise in industry collaboration, research commercialization, and workforce training. The company is also calling for EOI from businesses looking to establish operations within the University Precinct. The planned campus will be situated next to Bradfield City’s Second Building, which is scheduled to begin construction in 2026 and will accommodate the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility 2 (AMRF 2) and Australia’s first commercial Semiconductor Advanced Packaging Facility.
The university will benefit from direct connectivity to the AMRF facilities, enabling the development of up to 30,000 square metres of tailored educational, research, and workspace infrastructure aligned with Bradfield City’s goal of creating a thriving advanced-industry hub. Strategically located within one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing talent markets, the campus is expected to attract students, researchers, and industry partners while strengthening the region’s workforce pipeline and research and development capabilities for key growth sectors.
Supported by an A$28 billion (US$19.7 billion) investment and infrastructure initiative from the NSW Government, including the launch of the Western Sydney International Airport this year, Bradfield City is being positioned as a major hub for advanced industries, international connectivity, and sustained economic development. In collaboration with the NSW Government, Plenary is leading the development of the 5.7-hectare City Precinct, a strategically located site next to Bradfield City’s First Building, Central Park, and the new Metro station.
